The Cascades（瀑布合唱團(tuán)）來(lái)自加州圣地亞哥的這支樂(lè)隊(duì)，是由擅長(zhǎng)作曲以及吉他的主唱約翰甘莫 （John Gummoe）領(lǐng)軍的，他在1950年代末期結(jié)識(shí)了另外四位樂(lè)手，由于彼此十分投緣，決定共同組團(tuán)。?他們以類似「屋頂歌手合唱團(tuán)」（The Rooftop Singers）的流暢抒情曲風(fēng)，在許多私人的宴會(huì)上演出，逐漸打響名聲。

雖然這首歌曲在1963年上榜，只獲得第三名的成績(jī)，但卻永遠(yuǎn)活在人們的回憶中，多年以來(lái)不斷有人翻唱。根據(jù)BMI的統(tǒng)計(jì)，它以美國(guó)廣電媒體超過(guò)六百萬(wàn)次的播唱記錄，成為有史以來(lái)一百首最受喜愛(ài)西洋歌曲的第九名。此外，更有“綠箭口香糖”的廣告將它用作廣告主題曲。

這首歌被臺(tái)灣著名歌手蕭敬騰翻唱，并收錄于其2012年發(fā)行的Live版爵士英文翻唱概念專輯《Mr.Jazz - A Song for you》中。?
