He was on a dock in Fort Pierce when he watched a fellow angler reel in a strange creature, according to the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission.

FWC says scientists suspect it might be a mantis shrimp ... which it says is not related to shrimp but is a type of crustacean called a stomatopod.
