Anne Hathaway has opted for daring looks for the last two Les Miserables premieres in London and Tokyo, and managed to pull them off. But she certainly missed the mark on the New York red-carpet event for the much-anticipated movie.

The 30-year-old, who portrays factory worker Fantine who is forced to turn to prostitution, put the wrong heel forward in a pair of Tom Ford bondage-style gladiator stilettos.

Anne also opted for a vampy look with her hair and make-up, slicking her brunette locks, which were cut into a crop for the movie, back and wore lashings of red lipstick.

Meanwhile Amanda Seyfriend went for a more conventional look on the red-carpet in a stunning strapless gown, featuring a gold embellished bust and black flowing skirt.

The main male lead, Hugh Jackman looked as dashing as ever in a black pinstripe suit featuring satin trim.

The 44-year-old Australian star, who plays protagonist Jean Valjean, paired his trousers and jacket with a white shirt and black tie. He arrived at the event with his wife of 16 years Deborra-Lee Furness, who dressed all in black and wore a pair of standout silver chandelier.
