沒有死刑，也沒有終身監(jiān)禁

葡萄牙不光在廢奴的進程上行動得很早，在人權的很多其他方面也走在世界前列。

他們早在1846年就開始著手廢除死刑。另外，他們和西班牙一樣，都沒有終身監(jiān)禁。

Portugal was a pioneer abolishing Death Penalty. One of the most important facts about Portugal is that in 1846 Portugal started the process of abolishing the Death Penalty and the formal abolishment of capital punishment for civil crimes occurred in 1867. Furthermore, Portugal and Spain are the only countries in the EU to have abandoned life imprisonment as well.
葡萄牙是廢除死刑的先驅(qū)。關于葡萄牙最重要的事實之一是，1846年，它就開始了廢除死刑的進程，對民事犯罪的死刑的正式廢除發(fā)生于1867年。此外，葡萄牙和西班牙也是歐盟中僅有的兩個廢除了終身監(jiān)禁的國家。
